The first big journey was a rail bicycle tour. We rent a 3-bike platform with places for 7 persons, so with us, our 4 guests, and Schaya we were complete. The route itself has 3 stations and it is in one direction only. So we started from one terminal stop and decided to quit in the middle after 20 km. So another half of 20 km is not yet done by us, but we will certainly come back later!
So, the draisine is ready, route is fixed (it is a rail way, you can not really get a wrong turn...) Let's go!
The weather was good

And we started cycling
We were 2 groups of three drivers, we changed each 2.5 kilometers, and we enjoyed the trip
Everyone enjoyed it, except of Schaya. She was shocked and in complete stress first 5 kilometers, then she surrendered and submitted.
It was horrible to hear her clamour, but we could not do anything for her really.
So we tried to placate her and in time she was ok, but each time we stopped, she tried to run away and hide herself so we would not take her with us again...
We may have stopped everyway we wished, some times other teams outrun us, so we pushed our railbike from rails to the side to give a way and moved it back afterwards. Yes, it was heavy.
One of our stops were on a ghost rail station. It is not used anymore, looks creepy and haunted, though very beautiful...

On another stop we picked up wild apples and plums.
The rail was used in the past for real trains, but with time it was not rentable, so only tourists now are driving the way. It has even a tunnel!
As I promised Schaya was ok in the end with idea of traveling on such a loud vehicle and even had fun! As well as Nerr's brother.
And the trip is over, Lauterecken, finish. We spent 4 hours for 20 km, so without rushing we would not make the other half in time.
We gave the rail bike back and went to another town on the way home, Wolfstein.
It was a very hot day, as the most of the summer really.
