We have planed this trip already some time before because of several reasons:
1. the friend of us finished her exams and we want to celebrate it
2. we want to practice our driving skills to be sure in our abilities to drive for a long distance
We already drove it when we tested a car renting process and we have covered a really short distance. Now we wanted to drive longer, and we chose a city in 3 hours from us, just because it was a city with a good weather. Forecast for KL showed a rain for the whole day.
The first surprise for us was that because of some problem with the reserved FIAT we have got a new car for the same prise:
Firstly we were a bit scared because a car looks rather complex. It was Citroen cactus, a car that I saw in an advertisement that I liked.
We took our friend and started a trip to Aachen!
Nerr drove first. There was one really dangerous moment when we didn't slow down enough to turn properly, but except of it, everything was quiet and we arrived. Remarkable for us that Aachen was our first plan to start a new live in Germany.
We have found a parking place just by luck, and first that we saw in the city was a church - hotel!

We have found a lake with an interesting fountain and a lot of ducks. They were very active there, hunting each other and flying just along the lake.
We walked in the old city centre but did not go inside any old house.

We have eaten there, walked a lot and gone home. Sadly we didn't go to the square of three countries, we were too tired. This is a good reason to visit a city once more!
