After our experience at MPS in Bückeburg we wanted to visit a simple camping site in Germany. After long and difficult choosing we decided to stay somewhere in familiar place, so we chose Wolfstein, a town in three quarters an hour from Kaiserslautern.
To get there we travelled from a local rail station Kaiserslautern West near our home.
From the rail station in Wolfstein we had to walk another 20 minutes to reach the camping.
As you can see in the picture, the camping is quite small, but we were even allowed to use a swimming pool there (right bottom corner of the snip)! Unfortunately, Schaya had to stay in the tent meanwhile, of course.

But first, we had to make ourselves at home!

And then the new day! Are we ready?
Our surroundings

We spent the whole day outside walking. First a small round before breakfast
Breakfast from the Bakery in the town
The next route: from the camping via Panoramaweg and then back through the town
And the lunch! Our neighbours were so nice that offered us their chairs to use!
I doubt they meant it this way... But hey, it was very hot! so, that we took turns swimming shortly in the given swimming pool to cool ourselves a little bit.
And our last route for the day:
It resembles a little suggested Maikurweg
Let's go!
And the highpoint of the tour is the ruin Neu-Wolfstein. The last time we were here it was closed for restoration, but not anymore!

Then we go back to the town near the ruin Alt-Wolfstein with a nice view of the town.
In the end, we had dinner at the famous cafe DenkMal in Wolfstein. See yourself, it is just unique.
The food is also great.
Where else could you eat a sweet Flammkuchen?!

There is even a place if you don't want any company
And we got back. Schaya is surprised why we cannot just go to the tent, a poor thing...
Who has enough energy for a bit playing?
Apparently, no one. So we slept and another day came! It is Sunday, our last day here, so we brought us some bakery for breakfast (Schaya is waiting outside..), and we are ready to pack our stuff.

And we are ready to travel home.
To get a lovely journey, one must not travel long or far away from home =)
